Gawker claims to have seen video of Rob Ford using crack cocaine pipe
A published report says a video that appears to show Toronto mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine is being shopped around by a group of men allegedly involved in the drug trade.
There was no way to verify the video, however, which was the subject of a report on Gawker on Thursday and then became the subject of numerous stories.
The Toronto Star said two of its reporters watched the video and said it appears to show Ford in a room, sitting in a chair, inhaling from what appears to be a glass crack pipe.
A story on the Star website Friday also alleges Ford makes several disparaging and crude remarks about Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and the high school football team he coaches.
A lawyer retained by Ford, Dennis Morris, told the newspaper that Thursday’s publication by the Gawker website of some details related to the video was “false and defamatory.”In case you missed this last night, because this is definitely not one to miss.
The dude is a prick, in more ways than one. If this turns out to be true, I wouldn’t be surprised!
I can’t believe that we didn’t get rid of him when he abused his official powers…

Sarah Polley, the director of the new documentary Stories We Tell, tells Terry Gross about including footage of retakes in the film:
I think that, for me, it was really important to not leave the construction of the film out because it’s a film about storytelling and how we tell stories and why we tell stories. I thought it was really important to include the process of making this film itself in the film and some of that involves some rather unflattering and ruthless moments for me like directing my dad when he’s … pouring his heart out, basically. And, you know, you do get into this mode, I think, when you’re telling a story — or certainly when you’re making a film — where you can kind of lose your sense or your barometer for what’s human or humane and certainly I think there are a few moments in the film where I’m directing my dad where I don’t come off that well, but I certainly come off as somebody who’s trying to tell a story above all else.
